Performers Network Terms of Service
Your Responsibilities as a Member
As a member of the Performers Network, you agree to:
- Provide Accurate Information: Enter truthful details, including an authentic birthday, during sign-up. Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring accurate information for minors to apply appropriate age and content filters.
- Manage Connections: You initiate and accept connections for message board communication. You are responsible for managing these connections and can remove them at any time. PN is not liable for communication between connected members.
- Participate in Good Faith: Engage with the platform respectfully, following legal and appropriate conduct. PN expects members to contribute to a positive community.
Event Coordination and Participation
The Performers Network supports Event Coordinators (ECs) in organizing events and selecting participants:
- Event Coordinator Responsibilities: ECs are fully responsible for their events, including role assignments, promotions, and ensuring compliance with platform rules. They may use marketing or advertising to attract participants or audiences, which may be shared with members who have opted into relevant roles.
- Merchandise and Requirements: ECs or Team Leaders (TLs) may request specific jerseys or merchandise for event participation. PN may direct you to purchase locations but is not responsible for these transactions.
- Non-Selection: If you are not selected for an event, you may consider becoming an EC to create and manage your own events with your preferred selection process.
Content Filters and Safety
PN provides tools to ensure a safe experience:
- Age and Content Filters: Filters are applied based on the birthday provided at sign-up. Parents and guardians are liable for ensuring accurate birthdays for minors to restrict access to age-appropriate content.
- Profile Authenticity: While display names are pseudonyms, all roles (e.g., Participant, TL, EC) are tied to verified accounts. Fake accounts are prohibited, and PN may remove accounts suspected of fraudulent activity.
- Reporting Issues: Suspected illegal activities should be reported to the EC of the event. If the EC is involved or unresponsive, members must contact local, state, or federal law enforcement. PN logs concerns via chat or email but acts on official requests from law enforcement or judges.
Legal Responsibilities and Platform Agnosticism
The Performers Network strives to remain an agnostic platform supporting diverse events:
- Diverse Events: PN supports events across political, cultural, gender, and age groups, provided they comply with legal standards.
- Account Suspension: PN reserves the right to pause, block, or remove any member for reasons including but not limited to illegal activity, violation of terms, or at the platform’s discretion, particularly in response to law enforcement requests.
- Member Accountability: You are responsible for addressing illegal activities through appropriate legal channels. PN will cooperate with official audits or investigations as required.
Platform Development and Feedback
The Performers Network is under active development:
- Exploration and Feedback: We encourage members to explore features, identify limitations, and provide feedback to improve the platform. Public discussions about PN, including its vulnerabilities, are expected as part of fostering robust community engagement.
- Changes to Features: Features may evolve based on member experiences. We aim to support ECs in building intentional communities and will adapt the platform to meet this mission.
Termination of Service
PN may terminate your access at any time for violation of these terms or other reasons deemed necessary. You may also delete your account through the platform’s settings.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service as the platform evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email or platform announcements. Check back regularly for updates.
